When I find left over food from a meeting I skipped I'm like:

Disecting....

So this is my first week in anatomy lab dissecting. 1) dissecting takes forever! 2) its really hard. 3) your fingers go numb from the embalming fluid after about 2 hours. Reality is your in lab for 5 hours a day! This is also the reality...

P.S. After you leave the lab you continue to smell like lab for hours and hours after you leave. Even after you shower twice. Lovely... yet another thing to ensure that I'm single forever.. lol

After the second week I got a little lazy... My lunch either looks like this (Cause I have no time to cook).

Drinking Water from a Fire Hose

I'm a new medical student. I have been an M1 now for 2 whole weeks. I've touched a cadaver and sat in the same seat for 6 back to back lectures in one day followed by labs in the afternoon, and capped off with studying the "bonus" material till 11pm. I won't say that I am in love with my schedule but I don't hate it either. But being in medical school is a lot like drinking water from a fire hose: you cant even swallow the information that they throw at you before the next batch of information is slapping you in the face. So if you have a photographic memory it will serve you well. For those of us who don't try learning at triple the speed of undergrad with twice the amount of labs and of course the teach yourself and others material.This is an accurate picture of me trying to learn in Med school!

MEDICAL SCHOOL

But one thing i must say about Med School is I love my classmates. Don't get me wrong I am still humbled by how quick and sharp this folks are. But I have finally found a world where I am no longer judged for getting excited with I know the name of the muscle your using to lift your weights in addition to its origin and insertions on the bone and what nerves, arteries and veins innervate and supply the muscles. Although I must say that I now know more than I ever wanted to know about eptoptic pregnancy and menstruation.

Needless to say its been busy but great so far but I'm not really looking forward to the first round of exams.
